Focus group planning. It reminds me of a talk Malcolm Gladwell did on TED on the nature of spaghetti sauce. Customers, myself included, don’t just tell you what you want to hear to please you. Sometimes we don’t know what we want until we taste it (so to speak). Focus group conversations may be like the hypothetical questions that happen between my husband and I about what we would do if we won a million dollars. What does the perfect product look like? I don’t know, but I’ll tell you if I see it.

I love photo shoots. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some amazing photographers - and little known fact - there are quite a few of them located here in Portland, Oregon. Marcus Swanson and his team are some of my faves. A sure fire way to make the day fly and deliver billboard-worthy imagery. Even better is when part of the day is captured on video.

Does it seem funny that there’s a ‘wedding season’, the same way that there’s a fishing and hunting season? Thank goodness it coincides with ‘bikini season’ so all of us whose winter activities surround food and alcohol have had time to prepare. Whose kidding who, though? For some of us bikini season is only a faint and distant memory.

Time to pull out the reinforcements. Thank goodness gone are the days of corsets (rust-proof, really?).
